Engineered for extreme environments, the XL Extreme 400P is compliant with NIST Class I–IV heat standards, surviving up to 500°F for 5 minutes and brief exposure to 1700°F. Its reinforced housing, sealed interfaces, and high-temperature-rated materials ensure operation through heat, shock, and immersion.
Every control on the XL Extreme 400P is built for gloved operation. The DTMF keypad, five-way navigation key, and programmable side and top buttons allow easy access to critical features. Dual color displays—front and top—remain sunlight-readable in any environment.
Covering VHF, UHF, and 700/800 MHz bands with optional LTE support, the XL Extreme 400P ensures full-spectrum interoperability. Configuration updates, firmware, and personalities can be managed securely over Wi-Fi or LTE, simplifying fleet management.
The XL Extreme 400P meets or exceeds MIL-STD-810G and TIA-603-D requirements. It’s tested for 3 m drop shock, 5 m water immersion, and IP6X/IPX8 dust and water resistance. It operates from -22°F to 140°F, at altitudes up to 15,000 ft, and stores safely down to -40°F.
With 52-channel GPS/GNSS, P25 Tier 2 and L3Harris In-Band GPS compatibility, and support for Man Down and emergency alerts, the XL Extreme 400P enhances safety in the field.
